john mccain spoke out a little bit against him. his statement about brennan was a lot less harsh than the one about hagel. it looks like he's in good shape some of the civil liberties groups may want to testify at brennan's hearing. the question is how much, if anything, did he know about waterboarding and these other interrogation techniques during the bush administration. he said he wasn't involved. that will be the big question at his hearing. >> bill: david you and i have seen john brennan on the few times he's come into the white house briefing room. i remember particularly when he came in right after the osama bin laden mission right and described to us what happened. it turned out some of the information he gave us was not correct. he was giving all of the information he had at the time. he's always impressed me as one tough cookie. >> very much so. yes. he's a 24/7 kind of guy. always on the job. everything that happens you see brennan briefing the president. he's always around. rare guys who has good contacts in both parti
